Accessibility Statement

Parcel Jobs LLC wants everyone to be able to use parceljobs.com and the local service websites we operate under it (for example parceljobs.com/concrete-cape-coral/), including people who use screen readers, keyboard-only navigation, magnification, voice control, or who have reduced-motion needs.

Our standard

We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA. We consider our websites partially conformant: most content meets the standard, and the exceptions we know about are listed below.

What we have done

• Every page has a “Skip to main content” link, a single main heading, and landmark regions (header, navigation, main, footer) so assistive technology can move around the page.
• All interactive controls can be reached and operated with a keyboard, and keyboard focus is visibly indicated.
• Navigation menus are real buttons that announce whether they are open, and can be closed with the Escape key.
• Form fields have visible labels, required fields are marked in code as well as visually, and error messages are announced by screen readers and tied to the field they refer to.
• After you submit a form, the confirmation message receives focus so you know it worked.
• Photographs have descriptive alternative text; decorative images and icons are hidden from assistive technology.
• Animation and motion are switched off for visitors whose device is set to reduce motion.
• The cookie notice on our local service websites is a labelled region with plainly named buttons; it never traps focus and never blocks the page.
• Text can be resized to 200% without loss of content, and pages work on small screens.

Known limitations

• Interactive map on the homepage. The map of open markets can be operated with a mouse or with the keyboard (Tab to move between markets, Enter or Space to select one). It may be hard to use with a touch screen and screen reader together. The same information is available by emailing us.
• Photographs on local service websites. Some photographs use generic descriptions rather than describing a specific project.
• Third-party content. Google Tag Manager and Google Ads scripts on our local service websites, and the font files we load from Google, are provided by Google and are outside our control.
• Older internal demo pages that are not linked from our navigation may not meet this standard.

Technical information

Our websites are built with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript and are tested with current versions of Chrome, Safari, Firefox, and Edge, and with the VoiceOver screen reader. This statement is based on our own review of the websites.
